Kara Imes and
Graeleigh Lackey scored five goals apiece to lead Delaware Valley University to a 20-4, road victory over Rosemont College in its season opener.
DelVal started the scoring just over a minute into the game when senior transfer
Jordan Sanocki recorded her first goal as an Aggie. Just 37 seconds later, Imes made it a 2-0 game with her first of the day
DelVal surrendered a free position attempt to the Ravens (0-1) and they capitalized as Jen South buried the shot passed Aggie keeper
Amanda Dietrich. DelVal came right back with two straight goals separated by 70 seconds. Freshman
Amanda McKeegan got the first and Lackey followed with her first tally of the game to make it 4-1 Aggies with 22:02 still to play in the first half. Rosemont got one back as South notched another to pull the Ravens back to within two.
From there, DelVal went on to score the next 10 goals, including nine before the end of the first half. Sophomore

Taylor Teliszewski and
Krystal Serdinsky each scored their firsts of the year during the stretch with Collyer and Teliszewski tallying twice. Sanocki assisted on two of the 10 goals in the spurt.
Rosemont's Melissa Lynch put a halt to the run when she scored with 24:47 left in the second half to make it a 14-3 game. DelVal then scored five more times in an eight-minute span to up its advantage to 16. The teams exchanged goals in the final seven minutes of the game and the Aggies left Rosemont with the 20-4 victory.
Lackey (five goals, two assists) finished with seven points, one off of the school record that she set in last season's game against Rosemont. Imes (five goals) and Sanocki (two goals, three assists) both finished with five points while Collyer (three goals) and McKeegan (two goals, one assist) each notched three points.
Sabrina Butler paced the team with four ground balls. Dietrich played all 60 minutes in the game and recorded five saves.
The Ravens were led by three goals from South and one from Lynch. Kiana Davis made eight saves in the effort.
DelVal will have its home opener on Tuesday, February 28 when Bryn Mar College comes to Doylestown.
