HOBOKEN, N.J. – The Delaware Valley women's lacrosse team faced No.18 Stevens on the road dropping the contest 24-2 on Wednesday evening.
After a 10-goal shutout in the first quarter, Stevens put up three more before
Ashley Birmingham put the Aggies on the board off the clear 10 minutes into the second quarter.
The Ducks went on a 9-0 run through the 10
th minute of the third quarter before the Aggies began to gain some traction. Birmingham forced the turnover and made her way out of the Aggies' defensive zone for the clear with just over three minutes in the frame.
Abbie Hostetler took the shot for the goal to give the Aggies their second score of the game.
Emily Drake made 14 saves on the night facing 38 total shots. Birmingham led the offense for the Aggies firing off five shots all on goal. She also led the stat lines in ground balls (4), caused turnovers (2) and draw controls (2).
DelVal returns to Robert A. Lipinski Field this Saturday, April 26 for their final home game of the season when they host King's at 1 p.m. The Aggies will honor their three seniors ahead of the game.
