NEWTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley women's lacrosse graduate student
Ashley Birmingham was named to the All-MAC Freedom First Team at midfield announced by the conference Wednesday Morning.
She led the Aggies in scoring this season netting 58 goals and shooting .727 on goal and leading the conference in shots per game averaging 10.12. She ranked sixth in the league in goals per game and led the conference in ground balls per game scooping up an average of 4.82 while leading the Aggies with a total of 82 on the season.
Birmingham set the program record for single-game ground balls tallying 11 while also tying the single-game caused turnover record with eight. In the season, the veteran set new school records in single-season goals (58), single-season ground balls (82) and single-season caused turnovers (41).
She holds the program's career goals record at 156 total and ground balls record with 256. This is the third All-Conference honor for Birmingham who was previously named to the second team twice in both 2022 and 2023.
