Box Score EDWARDSVILLE (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team won a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom game for the first time in program history as the Aggie travelled to Wilkes University and posted a 20-10 victory.

DelVal, which is in just its third year of existence, has already set a single-season mark for overall wins and upped that number to seven in nine contests this year (1-1 MAC Freedom). Meanwhile, the Lady Colonels fell to 4-5 and 0-2.

Seven different players scored for the Aggies, including sophomore Samantha Collyer who tied a program record with eight points on the afternoon (five goals, three assists). She also had nine draw controls on the afternoon as DelVal registered a big, 23-9 margin in that category.

Collyer and the Aggies struck first as she scored just 15 seconds into the game. Wilkes' Kyra Boccio matched it just seven seconds later but, then just seven ticks after that, Collyer assisted on Graeleigh Lackey's tally for a 2-1 DelVal lead.

The Lady Colonels scored the game's next four goals, including two from Jessyca Held, to take a 5-2 advantage.

From there it was all Aggies, beginning with a run of eight consecutive goals to end the half. Taylor Teliszewski, Kara Imes and Amanda McKeegan tallied the first three to tie the game and Imes gave DelVal the lead for good off a feed from Collyer with 6:56 remaining in the half. Collyer followed with her second of the game and Jordan Sanocki added back-to-back goals in a 23-second span. Collyer ended the run by connecting with just 22 seconds left in the stanza for a 10-5 lead.

Wilkes opened the second-half scoring, but Lackey, Colleyer and Imes upped the Aggie lead to 13-6 and the Lady Colonels never got closer than five the rest of the way.

Imes matched Collyer's goal output as she connected five times and added an assist for a six-point performance. Lackey had four goals and one helper for five points while Sanocki had three points on two goals and one assist. McKeegan (one goal, one assist) and Teliszewski (two goals) had two points apiece while Sabrina Butler had a goal as well. Sanocki had six draw controls while Courtney Knight scoffed up four ground balls. Amanda Dietrick racked up 13 saves and five ground balls in net.

Bocci paced Wilkes with four goals and four draw controls. Maura Brownsey added three tallies. Sarah Carlini and Melania Velasquez combined for 13 saves in goal.

DelVal will host MAC Freedom foe King's College on Thursday, April 13 (4 p.m.).
