Box Score DALLAS (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team tried to claw its way out of an early hole, but dropped a 24-13, Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom decision to host Misericordia University.
The Aggies fell to 8-5 overall and 2-4 in league action while the Cougars (10-3, 4-1) clinched a conference tournament spot.
Misericordia scored the first seven goals in the opening 11 minutes of the contest, including three from Laila Quinlivan, DelVal responded with three of the next four to pull to within five, 8-3.

Kara Imes and
Graeleigh Lackey had the Aggie tallies.
The teams exchanged goals before the Cougars upped their advantage to 13-5 late in the half.
Samantha Collyer got back-to-back goals in the final four minutes for DelVal, the second coming on Teliszewski's second assist of the day, to pull the squad to within six at the break.
Collyer finished off her hat trick just 11 seconds into the second half to make it a five-goal game once again. After a Misericordia goal,
Sabrina Butler got on the board off a Lackey helper with 25:07 remaining for a 14-9 score. However, the Cougars scored the game's next five goals and nine of 12 to pull away to the win.
Lackey finished with three goals and an assist for a four-point performance. In the process, the junior left herself just four tallies shy of the coveted 100-goal plateau for a career. She will look to reach that milestone in the team's final game of the season, a MAC Freedom home showdown with Eastern University on Saturday, April 29 (1 p.m.).
Collyer also had three goals and a helper while adding six draw controls and a pair of caused turnovers. Teliszewski (two goals, two assists) had a four-point day while Imes found the net on two occasions and also produced five draw controls. Senior
Jordan Sanocki had a goal, an assist and five ground balls.
Amanda Dietrich stopped 15 shots in the loss.
Liz Mulvey recorded six goals and two assists while Quinlivan (four goals, three assists) and Lexee Wiley (five goals, two assists) had seven points apiece.
