In the fifth inning, the Aggies loaded the bases with nobody out and Cummings laced a three-run triple to right field to make it 5-2 and give DelVal the lead for good. It would tack on two more runs in the inning with RBIs from Amos and Morgan.
In the Cougars half of the fifth, they loaded the bases with one out, but Aggies' starting pitcher
Jeremy Hefele forced a 4-6-3 ground ball double play to end the threat. Hefele pitched five innings giving up six hits in the win and
Hunter Mease came on to pitch two innings of scoreless ball. Crill went 2-for-4 from the dish with two runs scored in game one and Cummings' only hit was the triple in the fifth.
Misericordia was led by a 2-for-4 effort from Holzapfel to go with one run scored in the opener and Garret Pelko suffered the loss after going four innings and giving up seven hits in the opener.
In the night cap, it was the Cougars who got out to an early lead after scoring seven runs in the first two frames on a combined six hits and two errors. Sean Lyons and Tyler Holzapfel each had a pair of RBIs during that stretch.
DelVal got on the board in the third when Trevor Musselman hit a leadoff double to left field and came around to score on a double by Crill. Cummings followed Crill with his second triple and fourth RBI of the day. Cummings would cross the plate after a sacrifice fly by Wenger to make it 7-3 after three innings.
However, Misericordia scored one more in the bottom of the third and added three in the fifth while keeping the Aggies off the board the rest of the way to take the rubber match with an 11-3 win in game two.
