DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Delaware Valley erased an early deficit with a steady offensive push, defeating King's 10–5 after falling behind in the opening inning.
King's wasted no time jumping in front, plating five runs in the bottom of the first. RBI singles from Kosar and Jenkins highlighted the rally, while Quinones drove in two more on a fielder's choice to cap the inning and give the Monarchs a 5–0 lead.
Delaware Valley responded in the third, beginning to chip away at the deficit. Eli Scott brought in the first run on a groundout, and Liam Martin followed with an RBI double. Braedyn Kormanic added an RBI single to pull the Aggies within two at 5–3.
The turning point came in the fifth inning. Delaware Valley strung together six hits in the frame, with Martin delivering a two-run double to tie the game before Kormanic drove in two more with a single up the middle to give the Aggies a 7–5 advantage.
From there, Delaware Valley maintained control. Starting pitcher Travis Loewe settled in after the first, allowing no further damage across six innings to earn the win. Ben Boyer closed the door with three scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
The Aggies added insurance in the ninth, scoring three more runs. Kormanic picked up his fourth RBI of the day with a single, Jared Ecenroad added a sacrifice fly, and Aidan Devlin drove in a run during a sequence that included a wild pitch.
Delaware Valley finished with 15 hits, led by Martin (3-for-4, three runs, three RBIs) and Kormanic (3-for-5, four RBIs). Gavin Migliori also collected three hits and scored twice.
King's recorded 10 hits but was held scoreless after the first inning. Jenkins led the way with two hits and two RBIs.
Delaware Valley will look to carry the momentum into its final matchup of the season, traveling to Wilkes on Friday, April 24th to faceoff against King's at 1:30pm and 4:30pm.
