Box Score DOVER (DE) – Delaware Valley University set a new program record for wins in a season with an 18-9 road triumph over Wesley College.
The victory is the sixth of the campaign for the Aggies, making it the winningest season in team history under head coach
Ramona Walters who cultivated the new program just three years ago. DelVal concluded the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 6-1 record and will close out the season with seven Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom games beginning on Wednesday, April 4 when it hosts Manhattanville College at 4 p.m. This year's squad also eclipsed its previous single-game shot record set earlier this year in a 46-shot performance during a 22-7 home victory over Gwynedd Mercy University, with 48 shots registered this afternoon.
The Aggies got out to a quick start in this game as
Samantha Collyer found
Krystal Serdinsky for her fourth goal of the season just 39 seconds in. Exactly 12 seconds later, Collyer found the back of the net herself and DelVal led 2-0.
The Wolverines (5-6) got one back, but the Aggies were quick to respond as
Kara Imes set up Collyer for her second of the day. After Ashley Luna scored for Wesley to make it a 3-2 game, DelVal went on a 3-0 run to open up a four-goal lead with 8:14 left in the first half. Imes,
Sabrina Butler and
Taylor Teliszewski all scored during the spurt. The teams exchanged goals in the final seven minutes of the stanza and the Aggies took a 7-4 lead into the break.
Imes got the second-half scoring started with a goal in the first minute before Fallon Fore scored twice for the Wolverines to make it 8-6 with 26:11 left in regulation. DelVal then took charge with six straight goals over the next 10 minutes of play.
Jordan Sanocki,
Graeleigh Lackey, Collyer, Imes and Teliszewski all tallied while Lackey and Teliszewski also picked up assists during the run that put the Aggies up 14-6. DelVal went on to score four of the game's final seven goals, capped off by Lackey's third of the day, for the 18-9 final.
Imes led all scorers on the day and tied program records with seven goals and eight points. Lackey finished with five points on three goals and two assists and Collyer had three goals and one helper for a four-point day. Teliszewski finished with two goals and one assist while Butler, Serdinsky and Sanocki rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece.

Wesley was led by Fore's four goals. Brianna Bacon had one goal and an assist and Kathleen Martin added two assists as they both finished the day with two points. Shelby Schirmer made an impressive 22 saves in the loss.
