Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) –
Samantha Collyer's goal with 2:36 remaining capped a second-half comeback by Delaware Valley University and gave the host Aggies an 11-10 triumph over Immaculata University and the team's first 3-0 start.
DelVal, in its third year of intercollegiate play, matched its longest winning streak as the Aggies won three straight as part of a 4-1 start last season. The Mighty Macs fell to 1-2 with Saturday's setback.
DelVal trailed 6-1 at one point and were down four, 8-4, after a Brittany Whaley goal for Immaculata just three minutes into the second stanza. From there, the Aggies notched four consecutive goals, beginning with Collyer's second tally of the day as she won the draw control, raced down the field and scored 13 seconds after Whaley's goal. Six minutes later,
Graeleigh Lackey found the back of the net to make it a two-goal contest. Lackey scored again with 18:54 remaining and
Amanda McKeegan followed 86 seconds later for an 8-8 contest.

The Mighty Macs regained the lead at 10-9 as Layne Kennedy took a feed from Rosemarie Reitman and found the net with 8:28 left on the clock. th of the season.
The Mighty Macs had two possessions (DelVal one) after Lackey's goal. However, Collyer caused a turnover and picked up the ground ball on the second. The Aggies came down and set up their offense and Collyer was fouled. She beat Immaculata goalkeeper Emily Schumann on the free position shot for what turned out to be the game-winning tally. It was Collyer's fourth goal of the day and her ninth of the season.
DelVal's
Kara Imes won the ensuing draw control and the Mighty Macs quickly went down a player due to a two-minute penalty. The Aggies were able to maintain possession until the final horn for the come-from-behind win and the 3-0 start.
Whalen started the day's scoring in the bitter cold conditions and it was quickly matched by DelVal's
Taylor Teliszewski. Immaculata then scored five straight, including two from Kennedy for a 6-1 advantage. Lackey and McKeegan made it 6-3 with back-to-back goals before a late tally gave the Mighty Macs a four-goal lead at the break. Collyer scored early in the second before Whalen regained the four-goal advantage for Immaculata. DelVal then began its comeback, capped by Collyer's game-winner.
