WILKES-BARRE (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team fell in its Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom game at King's College, 16-10 on Wednesday.
The Aggies are 5-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference. The Lady Monarchs have a 3-7 record and they are 1-1 in the MAC Freedom.
King's got off to a hot start, recording the first five goals in just under eight and a half minutes. DelVal recovered to score four of the next five to trail by a 6-4 margin. Sophomore

Janee' Rhone had the other pair. The Lady Monarchs followed with four straight to end the half for a 10-4 advantage.
In the second half, King's started with three goals in a row for its largest lead of the contest at nine (13-4). Sophomore
Kara Imes and Lackey had back-to-back markers for the Aggies just 18 seconds apart. The teams traded two goals apiece and the score was 15-8 with 7:53 on the clock. After a King's tally, sophomore

Junior Gabriella Morrocu sparked the Lady Monarchs with six goals and three assists. Freshman Amanda Carroll totaled two goals and two assists. Senior Breanna Schurgot scored three times and sophomore Anastasia Araviakis tallied two goals and one assist. Sophomore Sarah Almony hit the back of the net twice and sophomore Megan O'Brien notched one goal and one assist. Sophomore Victoria Zawacki made six saves in goal.
Lackey finished the game with three goals and one assist for DelVal. Rhone and Teliszewski had two goals apiece while Imes, Spakosky and Spleen each had one. Spleen also controlled eight draws while Imes controlled six. Freshman
Amanda Dietrich stopped seven shots.
The Aggies host Misericordia University for a MAC Freedom contest on Saturday, April 16 (12:00 p.m.).
