Aggie Women's Lacrosse Makes It Two Straight With 10-4 Victory At Bryn Mawr

Box Score

BRYN MAWR (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team posted its second straight victory with a 10-4 decision at Bryn Mawr College on Wednesday.

The Aggies, in just their second season, improved to 3-1, already surpassing their win total from the inaugural campaign. The Owls suffered their first loss of the year and they are 2-1.

After an early lightning delay, Bryn Mawr held a 2-1 advantage with under 10 minutes to go in the opening half. However, DelVal struck for three straight goals in a span of just 1:19. Senior Lydia Spakosky and sophomores Graeleigh Lackey and Taylor Teliszewski had the markers. Lackey also assisted on Teliszewski's goal. The Owls trailed by one at halftime after Claire Johnson potted a goal at the buzzer with an assist from Georgina Dominique.

Freshman Samantha Collyer and Lackey hit the back of the net early in the second for a 6-3 Aggie lead. Bryn Mawr got within two with 20:14 to go but DelVal put the game away with four straight goals over the final 13 minutes. Lackey, Collyer, Teliszewski and freshman Taylor Spleen produced the tallies.

Lackey finished with four goals and one assist. Collyer and Teliszewski each scored twice and Spakosky totaled one goal and one assist. Spakosky also picked up four ground balls and caused four turnovers. Freshman Amanda Dietrich stopped 11 shots in goal and had six ground balls.

Erica Dwyer and Dominique ended the contest with one goal and one assist. Oona Ryle and Johnson scored one time apiece. Katie Alpert made 13 saves and picked up five ground balls.

The Aggies return home to face the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Saturday, March 19 (1:00 p.m.).
