Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-3 loss to visiting Stockton University on Tuesday.
The Aggies fell to 1-1. It was the season opener for the Ospreys.
Stockton tallied the first 11 goals of the contest. Sophomore
Graeleigh Lackey put DelVal on the board with 1:18 to go in the first half. Sophomore
Taylor Teliszewski had the assist. The Ospreys scored seven straight to start the second then the Aggies had the final two markers of the game. Teliszewski registered both at 54:45 and 57:42 respectively. Freshman
Samantha Collyer assisted on the first and Lackey helped on the second.
Senior Lauren Ivancich and freshman Sarah Frankovic led Stockton with five goals apiece. Freshman Mary Schmid totaled two goals and two assists while freshman Carissa Genzo notched one goal and three assists. Senior Skyler Mahoney-Kendra finished with one goal and one assist while junior Kim Raichelson hit the back of the net twice. Senior Sarah Brenner and sophomore Brianna Rolke both scored once and junior Kelsey Perst had one helper.
Senior Mary Stornes picked up the win in goal, stopping four shots in 50 minutes of action. Freshman Maura Twiggs made three saves in the final 10 minutes. Freshman
Amanda Dietrich stopped eight shots in the loss.
The Aggies hit the road for the first time this season when they visit Immaculata University on Saturday, March 5 (1:00 p.m.).
