Box Score MADISON (NJ) – FDU-Florham opened the game with the first seven goals and never looked back as the host Devils posted a 17-3 win over Delaware Valley University in a Freedom Conference contest.
FDU-Florham moved its mark to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in league action while the Aggies, who were playing in their first game since the institution officially became a University earlier in the day, fell to 2-7 and 0-2,
The Devils got out to the 7-0 lead in the first 15 minutes with Courtney Rendinaro leading the way with two goals and two assists over that span. Delaware Valley got on the board with 14:50 remaining in the opening half as
Lydia Spakosky connected off a free position shot.
FDU-Florham added five unassisted goals after Spakosky's tally to take a 13-1 lead into the break. The Devils extended the lead to 16-1 before the Aggies got two of the last three goals of the game.
Taylor Teliszewski scored with 11:22 remaining while
Graeleigh Lackey followed with an unassisted tally of her own with 3:37 left on the clock.
FDU-Florham held advantages of 25-7 in shots and 22-11 in ground balls. Dana Amorosi finished with four goals while Rendinaro had three goals and four assists.
Lackey led Delaware Valley with three shots while five different players had two ground balls apiece.
Sarah Fenwick was credited with six saves in goal.
