Box Score GWYNEDD VALLEY (PA) -- Delaware Valley College held a lead early in the second half, but the Aggies could not get their second win in program history as they dropped an 8-6 decision at Gwynedd Mercy University.

The win improved the Griffins to 3-3 while Delaware Valley saw its record fall to 1-5.

Gwynedd Mercy scored the first three goals of the contest before the Aggies answered with three tallies in the final 4:08 of the first half to get to a 3-3 deadlock at the break. Nicolette Angelella picked up the first unassisted goal while Taylor Teliszewski had an unassisted goal just 36 seconds later. Graeleigh Lackey then tied it up with just 35 seconds left in the stanza off an assist from Amanda Ortiz.

Delaware Valley made it four straight goals and took a 4-3 lead as Teliszewski took a feed from Angelella and put it in the net with 26:01 remaining. The Griffins responded with thee consecutive goals - all from different players to take a 6-4 advantage with 9:06 to go. Angelella followed less than minute later with an assist from Teliszewski, but Kelsey Yori answered for Gwynedd Mercy with 7:18 remaining.

The Aggies made it a one-goal contest again with 3:13 left on the clock as Lackey set up Angelella for her third goal of the game and ninth of the season. However, Yori scored her third tally of the afternoon with 2:37 to go for the Griffins and they held on for the win.

Angelella, Lackey and Teliszewski combined for all six of Delaware Valley's goal and three of its four assists. Janee' Rhone had three caused turnovers and five ground balls whie Sarah Fenwick stopped eight shots in het.

Yori had three goals while Lauren Mitros added two for Gwynedd-Mercy. Bria Gillard had six saves and the win.
