Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley College women's soccer team kicked off under the lights at Robert A. Lipinski Field for the first home night game for any sport in school history. However, the first win will have to wait as the Aggies suffered a 2-0 defeat to Penn State Harrisburg.
It was an exciting scene as 300 students and fans filled the stands and the teams battled as the news lights replaced the sun by the start of the second half. Penn State Harrisburg got on the board seven minutes in the first half when Melanie Snyder sprung Hannah Jorich on a breakaway and she beat Delaware Valley keeper
Claudia Winters for the 1-0 advantage.

Mary Taylor beat the Lions' defense and ripped a shot from 10 yards out. However it was deflected over the net on a quick save by the Penn State Harrisburg keeper Mackenzie Gates.
The two teams battled through the second half with equal opportunities until Erica Hile snuck a shot just inside the right post with seven minutes to play in the game. Snyder picked up her second assist of the evening on the score as the Lions came away with the 2-0 victory.
Nicole Dunlap, who was forced to sit out all of last season due to injury, had three shots and two on goal while Taylor had three shots on goal. Winters made her first collegiate start in goal and registered seven saves.
Delaware Valley had four corner kicks in the game, three of which came in the second half. The Lions held a slight 13-11 advantage in shots for the game.
