DALLAS, Pa. – Delaware Valley women's soccer yielded early goals and, despite several chances, couldn't find the back of the net, falling 9-0 to Misericordia University on Wednesday night.
After Nicole Ocejo made her first save in the fifth minute, Maniskas buried the rebound to give the Cougars an early lead. Misericordia stayed aggressive, adding four more goals over the next ten minutes to make it 5-0. Jarleny Aguilar-Acuna had a shot saved before Marisa Rogers fired one wide a minute later. Ocejo made a pair of stops to close out the half, while Erin Shuey came closest to putting DelVal on the board, ringing a shot off the post in the 32nd minute. The Aggies earned two corners shortly after but couldn't convert. Adams made it 6-0 just 30 seconds before halftime, as Ocejo finished with 10 saves through 45 minutes.
Jenelle Frye took over in goal for the second half and made four saves in the opening six minutes. She added three more stops later in the frame, but Hayward extended Misericordia's lead in the 83rd. Piper Jones missed just wide for the Aggies before the Cougars added two final goals before time expired.
With the loss, Delaware Valley falls to 3-13-1 overall and 0-6 in the MAC Freedom. The Aggies will close out their 2025 season on Saturday, Nov. 1, hosting Stevens Institute of Technology at 5:00 p.m.
