Box Score 3 DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley College volleyball team hosted a tri-match on Saturday and swept both contests as the Aggies opened a 3-1 victory over Penn State Abington and added a 3-2 thriller over Alvernia University.

Andrea Salazar saw her Delaware Valley squad improve to 6-19 on the year after the two triumphs. Penn State Abington, which fell 3-1 to Alvernia in the middle match, dropped to 12-20 and Alvernia moved to 7-11 overall.
The Aggies dropped the first set ton Penn State Abington, 25-22, before bouncing back with 25-20, 25-15 and 25-17 advantages in the final three sets. Freshman
Maria Cameron led the Delaware Valley attack with 13 kills and 22 digs.
Amy Bodine anchored the defense with four blocks in the match and
Crystal Ronan led all players with 34 assists. For the Lions, Sam Amaro had a match-high 14 kills and Rachel Bohl notched four service aces.
Delaware Valley's second contest was the final one of the day as it dged the Crusaders in five sets, 22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 22-25 and 15-11. Alvernia opened up a 3-1 lead in the fifth and final set before the Aggies got a point and the serve back. Ronan took to the service line and ripped off seven straight points to put the Aggies ahead, 9-3. The Crusaders climbed back to within three points on three separate occasions but Delaware Valley held them off to complete the tri-match sweep.
In the Alvernia contest, four Aggies reached double digits in kills as Cameron led the way with a career-high 25. She also had four solo blocks and five block assists.
Taylor Klecan pitched in 11 kills and Bodine and
Gina Page each notched 10. Ronan had match-highs of eight service aces and 46 assists.
For the Crusaders, Kristen Sipling had 26 kills and 29 digs while Taylor Wesley chipped in six blocks on defense and Jamie Morris dished out 44 assists.
