Women’s Volleyball Finishes Out Season With Loss To Stevens

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley women's volleyball team battled through adversity Wednesday night, competing with a short bench against second-place Stevens in the MAC Freedom standings. Despite the challenge, the Aggies showed resilience and flashes of strong play but ultimately fell, 3-0 (25-14, 25-5, 25-19), in their season finale.

The Aggies came out strong to open the first set, matching the Ducks point-for-point in the early rallies. Cassandra Gloster put DelVal on the board with the first kill of the match, briefly giving the Aggies the lead. After a quick exchange of points resulted in a lead change, Nia Walker delivered a kill to bring the score back even. DelVal continued to battle, preventing Stevens from pushing ahead by more than three through the early portions of the frame. However, the Ducks found their rhythm midway through the set, using a 14-5 run to take control and close out the opener, 25-14.

The Aggies struggled to find their rhythm in the second set, hitting -.125 while Stevens posted a .733 attack percentage. The Ducks held DelVal to five points in the frame, limiting the Aggies to three kills. Kai Logan recorded two kills, and Cassandra Gloster added the other.

The third set saw the Aggies open with promise, building an early lead that reflected their renewed energy thanks to key kills from Gloster, Kai Logan and Patricia Schwab. As the set progressed the Ducks found their groove, steadily pulling ahead despite the Aggies' efforts to hold the momentum. Logan stood out with a series of well-timed blocks at the net, giving DelVal brief spurts of hope, but ultimately the Ducks closed the set —and the match—before the Aggies could mount a full comeback.

The game concludes the season for the Aggies. DelVal finishes out 2025 at 7-19 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
