Women’s Volleyball Falls in Three Sets at FDU-Florham

MADISON, N.J. – The Delaware Valley women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets on the road at FDU-Florham: 25-8, 25-14, 25-10.

The Devils round an early rhythm and took control of the first set using consistent serving and a strong attack to force the Aggies on the defensive and holding DelVal's offense to just eight points.

The Aggies found more momentum in the second set. A pair of kills from Cassandra Gloster combined with a kill from Ariana Hernandez and an ace from Samantha Wilton to put the Aggies in a small lead, 5-3. But the Devils ultimately pulled ahead to claim the set.

DelVal trailed by just two in the third set before the Devils strung together a series of runs to pull ahead despite the strong efforts of both Hernandez and Monique Smith.

Smith led the Aggies with five kills and six digs, while Samantha Wilton tallied a team-high seven digs along with two service aces. Hernandez added three kills on seven attempts for a .429 hitting percentage and chipped in a block. As a team, Delaware Valley totaled 16 kills, 30 digs, and two aces on the night.

The Aggies look to regroup at home against Lebanon Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. The team will honor its 2025 senior class in a pregame ceremony.
