Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Misericordia University moved into a tie for first place in the Freedom Conference as the defending champions notched an 11-4 victory at Delaware Valley College.

The Cougars improved to 23-8 overall, 12-3 and even with DeSales University atop the league standings. The loss dropped the Aggies to 15-15 overall and 4-11 in the Freedom.

Delaware Valley hit the scoreboard first as it loaded the bases with no outs in the second and plated a run on a double-play ball. However, Misericordia responded with six runs off of six hits in the top of the third. Four of the six hits were for extra bases, including a pair of two-run homers by Julian Faria and Kyle Lindsay.

The Aggies made it 6-3 with two runs in the bottom of the fifth as Zach Kulikowski drew a one-out walk and Cody Hudnall followed with a blast over the left-center field fence for the senior's first home run of the year.

The Cougars responded again, this time with three tallies in the sixth, including a two-run double by Ryan Cacchioli. In the seventh, Jim Calabrese drew a bases-loaded walk for Delaware Valley while Kenny Durling had a two-run single in the ninth for Misericordia to complete the scoring.

The Cougars finished with 17 hits, including a 4-for-5 effort by Lindsay. He scored three runs and knocked in two. Durling was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and four RBIs while Cacchioli and Faria each had two hits and two RBIs. Pete Doggett pitched six innings and earned the win.

Hudnall had three of the Aggies eight base knocks as he was 3-for-3 with a double, home run, one run scored and two RBIs. Pete O'Hara had two hits while Kulikowski scored a pair of runs. Chad Schmuck lasted four innings and took the loss.
