FORT PIERCE (FL) – Delaware Valley College scored a combined eight runs over the seventh and eighth innings, en route to a 12-2 triumph over Hilbert College on the team's Spring Break trip to Florida.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Aggies as they improved to 2-3 on the young season. After a day off, they will return to action on Wednesday with single games against Earlham College and Richard Stockton College.
Delaware Valley held a 4-2 advantage when it put five runs on the board in the seventh. The team then added three more in the eighth for the comfortable victory.
Dan Hrubos paced the Aggie offense as he went 3-for-5 with two triple, a stolen base, two runs scored and four RBIs. 
Jeff Sennett ripped a pair of doubles in 2-for-5 performance. He scored two runs and knocked in three. 
Matt Bodine was 2-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and three RBIs.
Jordan Heisler picked up the win in relief as he entered the contest in the third inning and with the team down 2-0. He proceeded to pitch five shutout innings and allowed just five hits and one walk while striking out four.
