FORT PIERCE (FL) – Delaware Valley College fell to 1-3 on the season with a 17-4 loss to Centenary College on the team's Spring Break trip to Florida. The second game of the doubleheader was postponed due to rain and will not be rescheduled.
Centenary (5-4) held a 6-3 lead going into the seventh inning when it added 11 runs. Most of the damage was done by the Delaware Valley pitching staff as four hurlers combined to walk 10 batters in the inning.
Jake Barben got the start and took the loss as he allowed five earned runs over five innings. Offensively,
Mike Ferrier was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs while
Dan Hrubos was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
