AGGIES DOWN LANCASTER BIBLE, IMPROVE TO 3-1

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College scored three unanswered goals to erase an early deficit and down visiting Lancaster Bible College, 3-1, in a non-conference game.

The Chargers (0-3) hit the scoreboard just 15 minutes into the game as Sean Westerlund took a pass from Lawrence Lartey and notched his first goal of the season.

However, the Aggies (3-1) put two of their five first-half shots in the net to take a 2-1 lead into the intermission. 2009 all-conference honoree Tom Antounucci struck first with his second goal of the season off an Alessandro Cesario assist with 14:19 to go. Cesario then set-up Mark Bucci for the senior's first tally as he shot bounced off a pair of players and into the goal with 4:12 left in the half.

Eric Devlin gave Delaware Valley some breathing room with 15:13 remaining in the contest as he took a pass from Tyler Yankovich and connected for his second goal of the season.

Lancaster Bible held a 17-11 advantage in shots while Delaware Valley had the 5-3 edge in corners. Tristan Preece stopped seven Lancaster Bible shots while Grant Lockard was credited with six saves at the other end.
