DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Madison Leone scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Wesley College to a 4-0, non-conference victory over host Delaware Valley College.
The Wolverines improved to 5-3 on the season and also recorded the 200th career win for head coach Tracey Short. The Aggies fell to 6-3.
Leone blasted home her first goal of the day with 14:19 left in the opening half as she took a feed from Sheree Pleasanton off a penalty corner. It remained 1-0 until seven minutes into the second half when Leone struck again off a Nicole Hill assist.
Wesley then put the game away with two goals in a three-minute span. Leone set up Abigal Hill for a tally with 11:15 left and completed the hat trick with 8:24 remaining off an assist from Amanda Fisher.
The Wolverines held advantages of 15-6 in shots and 9-7 in corners. Sarah Johnson made three stops to pick up the shutout while
Hollis Hancock had eight saves for Delaware Valley.
