DALLAS, Pa.  – The Delaware Valley field hockey team battled but came up short on the road at Misericordia falling to the Cougars 4-0 to end the 2025 season.

Despite early signs of competitive energy, the Aggies struggled to convert on offense while the Cougars capitalized on their chances and maintained control throughout the contest.

From the opening whistle, DelVal worked to establish possession and build pressure on the attack recording two early shots and three offensive penalty corners, but Misericordia's defense held firm holding the Aggies' scoreless. The Cougars struck late in the first quarter to jump in front, 1-0, carrying that advantage through the halftime break.

The third quarter proved pivotal. The Cougars struck twice in the frame, extending their lead to 3-0. The Aggies pushed to respond but found themselves in danger with green cards on both
Maggie Fijal and
Brynne Miller in the half. Misericordia capitalized on the extra-person advantage in the fourth frame adding a fourth goal to seal the deal.

Defensively, the Aggies showed resilience.
Brooke Golbeski manned the cage for all 60 minutes tallying five saves on nine shots faced. The Aggies defensive unit held strong throughout the game blocking three of the Cougars' shot attempts while forcing another three wide.

The contest marks the last of the season for DelVal finishing with an overall record of 8-9 and a MAC Freedom record of 3-4.
