FORT PIERCE (FL) –
Mike Isgro pitched seven strong innings and also went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs and four runs scored at the plate as Delaware Valley College notched a 10-2 victory over Central College (IA).
The game was a late addition to the Aggie schedule on their Spring Break trip to Florida. They are now 2-1 on the season while the Dutch fell to 5-2.
Isgro showed why he has been a two-time all-Freedom Conference honoree as a utility player as well as a 2008 selection as a pitcher. The senior allowed one unearned run and three hits while striking out eight. Meanwhile, he outhit the Central squad with his 4-for-5 effort. He paced a Delaware Valley attack that had four players notch multiple-hit contests.
