AGGIES SCORE LATE FOR 2-2 TIE AT GOUCHER

TOWSON (MD) – Tom Antonucci's amazing start to the season continued as he connected for two more goals, including one with just 2:10 remaining in regulation, to give Delaware Valley College a hard-fought, 2-2 tie at Goucher College in a non-conference game.

The Aggies continued their best start in program history as the tie moved their overall record to 6-2-1. They will open Freedom Conference play at DeSales University on Saturday. Goucher saw its mark go to 5-4-1.

The Gophers took a 1-0 lead with just 10 seconds remaining in the first half as Julien Greco scored off an assist from Tim McMullen. Antonucci tied things up 11 minutes into the second stanza thanks to a feed from Tom Masterson.

Goucher regained the lead with 14:46 remaining as Brandon Nicholson set up Evan Rosse for a tally. It appeared as that would enough for the Gophers as the clock ticked down towards the end of regulation. However, Garrett McKissock got the ball to Antonucci and the junior transfer connected for his 15th goal of the season. That total along with his seven assists gives Antonucci 37 points in nine games

Goucher held a 6-1 advantage in shots in the extra sessions, but neither team found the net and the game ended in a standstill. The Gophers finished with an overall advantage of 19-12 in shots and 12-7 in corners. D.J. Meisinger was credited with seven saves in 110 minutes of action for the Aggies while Justin Holbrook had five stops at the other end.
