JUNIATA NOTCHES 4-2 VICTORY OVER DELVAL

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Paula Price finished with two goals and one assists, including the game-winning tally with 7:36 remaining to lead Juniata College to a 4-2 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

The win lifted the Eagles to 5-2 on the season while the Aggies saw their overall record fall to 4-3. 

The game was tied at 2-2 in the latter stages when Price took a feed from Kim Amrod for her second of the game. She then assisted on the insurance goal as Brittany Kauffman scored with 2:20 to go.

Price gave Juniata a 1-0 lead with an unassisted tally just 9:08 into the contest. Delaware Valley tied the contest with 12:36 remaining in the first half as it was awarded a penalty stroke and Bethany Pavlik beat goalkeeper Denalyn Spratt for her seventh tally of the year.

The Eagles regained the lead three minutes later on a goal by Amrod. It stayed that way until under the 10 minute of the contest when Danielle Heyne scored for Delaware Valley off an assist by Holly Rich. However, Price scored the game-winner just 44 seconds later and Juniata had the win.

The Eagles held advantages of 18-6 in shots and 15-10 in corners. Spratt finished with three saves and the win while Hancock made 10 saves for the Aggies.
