DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Mary Hobbs scored with 6:43 remaining in the first overtime to give Haverford College a 1-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in Wednesday's non-conference game.
The victory was the first of the season for the Fords as they improved to 1-2 on the year. The Aggies saw their record fall to 4-2.
Hobbs took a feed from Margaret Selsor and beat Aggie goalkeeper
Hollis Hancock for her first goal of the season and the game winner. It was Haverford's 20th shot of the game as it held a 20-6 advantage in the category. The Ford also dominated in corners with a 28-4 advantage, including 18 opportunities in the second half.
Maggie Cronin was credited with four saves and the shutout while Hancock was outstanding at the other end and finished with 11 saves.
