GWYNEDD VALLEY (PA) – Tom Petroski's goal with 30:10 remaining was the lone tally of the night as visiting Delaware Valley College dropped a 1-0 decision to Gwynedd-Mercy College in the season opener for both teams.

The game was scoreless for more than 59 minutes when Petroski took a feed from Jonathan Bush and beat Aggie goalkeeper DJ Meisinger. The Griffin defense and goalkeeper Mike Leonard took care of the rest to preserve the win.

Gwynedd-Mercy held a 26-17 advantage in shots while Delaware Valley had a 7-6 edge in corners. Playing in his first collegiate game, Meisinger racked up 12 saves for the Aggies. Leonard finished with 13 stops and the shutout.
