OWINGS MILLS (MD) – Emily Miller scored two goals as Johns Hopkins University captured the 2008 Black Eyed Susan Tournament championship with a 4-0 victory over Delaware Valley College.

For the Aggies (1-1), it marked the second year in a row that they reached the championship game in the tournament hosted by Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College). They captured the championship last season

Brittany Bland gave the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead just 4:26 into the contest. Miller scored her first tally six minutes later and then added another in the second half for a 3-0 advantage. Jenn Motylinski notched the other goal for Johns Hopkins, which held a 31-1 advantage in shots.

Jackie Deschenes made 11 saves in a losing effort for Delaware Valley. Kim Stein did not have to stop a shot, en route to the shutout.
