Three Aggies Earn All-MAC Freedom Honors for 2025 Softball Season

| By:
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley University softball team landed three players on the 2025 All-MAC Freedom teams, as announced by the conference on Friday morning.

After a one-year absence from the all-conference list, junior Madison Donnelly returned in style, earning Second Team honors at first base. Donnelly started all 37 games for the Aggies and ranked second in the conference with 248 putouts—just three shy of the leader—while remarkably committing zero errors all season. Offensively, she led the team and ranked 11th in the conference with a .387 batting average and 42 hits. She also ranked 10th in both RBIs (26) and on-base percentage (.431). One of her top moments came in a 9-0 shutout against Centenary, when she launched a three-run home run in the second inning to give the Aggies a commanding 6-0 lead.

Angelina Bresnen joined Donnelly on the Second Team, earning recognition at second base after a dominant offensive season. Bresnen recorded 43 hits, including 14 doubles, 3 triples, and 6 home runs, leading the MAC Freedom in slugging percentage (.711). She also ranked second in both RBIs (37) and total bases (81), pacing the Aggies in both categories. She was also perfect on the basepaths, going 15-for-15 in stolen base attempts. Bresnen's standout performance came on April 10 against PSU-Abington, where she hit three home runs, including a pair of grand slams, to tally 10 RBIs in the doubleheader.

Catcher Amelia Funston earned honorable mention honors after an impressive all-around season. Defensively, she ranked second in the conference with 10 runners caught stealing and totaled 113 putouts, placing her 12th in the MAC Freedom. At the plate, the lefty batted .379, ranking second on the team and ninth in the conference. Her 44 hits placed her sixth among all MAC Freedom players. Funston had standout performances against Misericordia, going 4-for-4 with three RBIs, and earlier in the season against SUNY-Canton, where she went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs during spring break play in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
