NEWTOWN, Pa. (Conference News) – Delaware Valley put together a record-setting 29-win season and placed six student-athletes on the All-MAC Freedom teams, highlighted by freshman
Tessa Fredericks being named Co-Rookie of the Year.
Tessa Fredericks – Co-Rookie of the Year & Second Team Outfielder
Fredericks was a force on both sides of the game this season. In the circle, she posted a 3.09 ERA, allowing just 15 earned runs over 34.0 innings while going 3-2 with two saves. At the plate, she hit five triples (third in MAC Freedom) and three home runs, finishing with a .630 slugging percentage that ranked fifth in the conference. She was one of just ten players in the league with an OPS over 1.000 and batted .384 with 36 runs scored, both among the conference leaders.
Morgan Mecham – First Team Pitcher
The senior led the MAC Freedom with a 1.36 ERA over 92.2 innings across 14 starts. She also topped the conference with a .188 opponent batting average and 81 strikeouts. Mecham recorded seven complete games, including two shutouts.
Madison Karns – Second Team Pitcher
Karns ranked second in the MAC Freedom, behind only her teammate, with a 1.58 ERA over 97.1 innings. She also finished second in opponent batting average (.214) while recording nine complete games and four shutouts. Karns became the program's all-time wins leader with 39, finishing the season with a 12-5 record.
Amelia Funston – Second Team Catcher
The senior started 35 games behind the plate, ranking second on the team with a .424 batting average and leading the Aggies with a .472 on-base percentage, good for 10th in the MAC Freedom. Funston recorded 144 putouts, threw out six runners attempting to steal, and committed just one error on 158 chances.
Madison Donnelly – Second Team First Base
Donnelly's .450 batting average ranked third in the conference, while her 1.082 OPS was fifth, leading the team in both categories. She totaled 54 hits (second in the MAC Freedom) and 10 doubles (sixth), while also becoming the program's all-time leader in hits (170) and at-bats (432). Defensively, she recorded 226 putouts and turned 10 double plays.
Angelina Bresnen – Second Team Second Base
Bresnen led the MAC Freedom in slugging percentage (.874), OPS (1.303), RBIs (48), triples (8), and home runs (11). Her home run and RBI totals set new single-season program records, while she tied the runs scored record with 38. She also became the program's all-time RBI leader with 110. Bresnen was a perfect 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts and added 80 putouts with 59 assists defensively.
