HERSHEY (PA) – Freshman
Rachel Brahler made Delaware Valley University women's golf history as she finished in fourth place at the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship, earned first-team all-conference honors and was named the conference's Rookie of the Year.
It is the highest finish at the MAC Championship by an Aggie in the four-year history of the women's golf program. Brahler is also the first golfer to be named to the all-MAC team and the first to get a postseason award as the top rookie.
Brahler entered Sunday's final 18 holes tied for ninth place after her first round score of 95 on the East Course of the Hershey Country Club. She parred the first and ninth holes and made the turn with a 45 (she had a 49 on the front nine on Saturday). Brahler added one par on the back nine and carded a 46 for a second-round score of 91. That gave her a two-day score of 186 and put her in the clubhouse as the leader at the time before finishing fourth.
Only individual champion Emily Gilbert (164) and Cayla McCarty (172), both of Alvernia University, as well as Eastern University's Summer Frantz (179), placed ahead of Brahler in the field of 53 golfers.

th hole. She carded a 148 on Sunday and her 295 put her in 47

The Aggies did not count in the team standings due to not having enough golfers in the field. Alvernia won the MAC Championship with a 737 while Eastern was the runner-up with a 753.
