Box Score WILKES-BARRE (PA) – The Delaware Valley University volleyball team hit the road for the first time in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom play and dropped a 3-0 decision to King's College. Set scores were 25-11, 25-11 and 25-10.
The Lady Monarchs improved to 10-6 overall and 1-2 in conference action while the Aggies dipped to 3-9 and 0-3.
DelVal jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the opening set but King's rallied for 11 of the next 15 points and a 12-10 advantage. The Lady Monarchs then ran off 10 points in a row to take command of the set. They then built leads of 12-1 and 16-3 in the next two sets, en route to the victory.
Kate Woosley had five of the Aggies' 14 kills on the evening. The rookie also added three service aces and two digs.
Kayla Bracken had three kills and two digs while
Taylor Klecan had a team-high four digs.
Nicole Daigneault handed out 12 assists.
For King's, Julie Kollar and Rachel Miller combined for 23 kills and nine digs. Miller also added four service aces. Maddie Kumm was credited with 28 assists.
DelVal returns to action on Saturday, October 1 when it travels to Lycoming College for the MAC Crossover Tournament. The Aggies will compete against the host Warriors and Arcadia University which are in the MAC Commonwealth.
