Kelly Gruber reached base on an error and then moved to second on a ground out.
Maddy O'Donohue then drove a pitch over the left fielder's head for a double that easily scored Gruber. Stefani then helped her own cause with an RBI double to left. Stefani moved to third on a single by
Kelsey Stoneberg and then scored on the Falcons' second error of the stanza.
Stefani finished 2-for-3 at the plate while O'Donohue and Stoneberg were each 1-for-3. Daly took the loss for Cedar Crest despite allowing no earned runs and just four hits in six innings of work.
The Falcons jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the opener as they recorded six hits and took advantage of an Aggie error in the first. They added two more in the second and one in the third for a 7-0 advantage.
DelVal came back with two runs off a Cedar Crest error in the third, but the Falcons got one back in the top of the fourth. The Aggies' remaining run came in the sixth on an RBI by
Mandi Workman.
