Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Misericordia University used big runs in all three sets to notch a 3-0, Freedom Conference victory at Delaware Valley College. Set scores were 25-17, 25-17 and 25-15.
The win was the seventh in a row for the Cougars, who improved to 8-8 overall and 2-2 in conference action. The Aggies fell to 1-0 overall and 0-2 in the Freedom.
The first set was tied at 10-10 before Misericordia scored five straight to take the lead for good. Delaware Valley then held a 12-11 lead in set two before giving up five points in a row and nine of 10. The Cougars then broke a 10-10 tie in the third by scoring 10 consecutive points, including four service aces from Meghan Stack.
Shelby Brochetti led Misericordia with 12 kills and 10 digs. Brochetti finished with seven kills, seven digs and five aces while Kellyn Swanson added eight kills. Nicole Tagerty handed out 32 assists.
Gina Page had six kills, 11 digs and two blocks for Delaware Valley.
Taylor Klecan finished with five kills while
Crystal Ronan had 15 assists, six digs and three service aces.
