Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Eastern University showed why it is the six-time defending Freedom Conference champions and the 11
th-ranked team in Division III as the Eagles cruised to a 3-0 triumph at Delaware Valley College. Set scores were 25-9, 25-9 and 25-12.
Eastern, which reached the NCAA Elite Eight last season, improved to 12-1 overall and 1-0 in league action. The Aggies fell to 1-8 and 0-1.
The Eagles notched 38 kills and just seven errors in 65 total attacks for a .477 hitting percentage. They also had 14 service aces and seven blocks on the evening.
The first set saw Eastern run off 10 straight points to up a 6-4 lead to 16-4. The squad scored 14 of the first 18 points in the second set and had a 10-1 run midway through the third set, en route to the victory. Morgan Shemonski had eight kills while Erin Hillman and Katrina Pisch added seven apiece. Rikki Schlager dished out 35 assists.

Maria Cameron finished with team-highs of six kills, seven digs and one block. Fellow rookie
Taylor Klecan had three kills on the evening while senior
Crystal Ronan ended the match with 10 assists, three digs and one block.
