Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Four different Penn State Harrisburg players scored goals as the Lions registered a 4-1 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.
Penn State Harrisburg remained unbeaten at 3-0 while the Aggies, who were playing their third game this week, slipped to .500 at 2-2-1.
The Lions scored the lone goals of the first half, both coming in a five-minute span. With 19:18 left in the stanza, Jonathan Vanaskie headed in a corner pass from Hakan Demicran to open the scoring. Ricardo Quintana then followed as he took a through ball from James Bilger and put it in the net.
Delaware Valley made it a 2-1 contest with 23:28 remaining in regulation as
Justin Mannato sent a through ball to
Peter Tantillo and Tantillo shot it inside the far post from 15 yards out. It was his first goal of the season while Mannato picked up his team-best seventh point of the year.
However, Penn State Harrisburg put the contest away with two goals in the final 12 minutes. Bilger picked up the first tall with 11:28 left on the clock while Alex West converted a penalty kick with 4:58 to go.
The Lions had advantages of 16-3 in shots and 4-0 in corners. Brandon Hoover had one save and the win while
Austin Brotman stopped seven shots for the Aggies.
