Box Score 2 DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Manhattanville College clinched the number one seed in the upcoming Freedom Conference tournament as the Valiants posted 19-0 and 12-2, five-inning victories over host Delaware Valley College.
Manhattanville improved to 17-7 overall and 11-1 in the Freedom. The squad will make a return trip to Doylestown in two weeks (May 2 and 3) as Delaware Valley is the conference championship host this season. The losses on Thursday dropped the Aggies to 3-23 and 2-10.
The first game saw the Valiants score in all five innings, including a nine spot in the fifth inning. They racked up 18 hits in the game, including seven for extra bases. Brittany Deiseo was 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBIs while Dolores Diemicke was 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs. Alyssa Taylor had a 3-for-5, two-RBI effort at the plate and allowed just three hits in four innings on the mound to improve to 14-6.

Loran Mihaliak and
Jackie Wear and singles by
Lauren Alvarez and
Alexis Boucher. Boucher took the loss on the mound.
The second game was a 1-0 contest until Manhattanville put seven runs on the board in the third inning. Taylor and Shauna Mulkerin keyed the stanza as each notched a two-run homer.
The Valiants added another run in the fourth on a solo homer by Shelbee Damianos. The Aggies got on the scoreboard in their half of the inning as
Tori Stachura knocked one in on a sacrifice fly and twin sister
Nina Stachura had a single for the second tally. Manhattanville ended the scoring with three runs in the fifth.
Manhattanville finished with 15 hits, including three from Damianos as she also knocked in four runs. Kirsten Savage was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Taylor had two RBIs and picked up another win as she allowed two runs and five hits while fanning nine in five innings.
Whitney Stacey had the lone extra-base hit for Delaware Valley as she had a double in a 1-for-1 effort. She took the loss on the mound.
