Box Score WILKES-BARRE (PA) –
Crystal Ronan became the first Delaware Valley College volleyball player to reach the 3,000-assist plateau in a career, but it wasn't enough as the Aggies dropped a 3-0 decision at Freedom Conference foe Wilkes University. Set scores were 25-20, 25-17 and 25-13.
Delaware Valley slipped to 3-12 overall and 0-3 in league action while the Lady Colonels evened their overall mark at 8-8 and won their first Freedom match in three tries this season.
Ronan needed just eight assists on Wednesday to reach the milestone and the senior finished the three-set match with 15 helpers. In addition to being the school's all-time leader in assists, Ronan also holds the mark for service aces with 263. She had two in the match to go along with 18 digs and three kills.
Taylor Klecan had seven kills while
Maria Cameron added six kills, nine digs and two blocks for the Aggies.
Wilkes had 10 more kills than the Aggies in the match and it also held a 10-4 edge in service aces. Ally Paskas led the charge with eight kills and 10 digs while Danica Benson tallied six kills and four blocks.
