Box Score 3 DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley College finished with a split of its home tri-match on Wednesday. The Aggies opened with a 3-0 triumph over Lancaster Bible College before dropping a 3-0 decision to Washington College (Md) in the nightcap. The first match saw Delaware Valley (2-2) post set scores of 25-22, 26-24 and 25-23 over Lancaster Bible (0-5). The Aggies got up early in each game only to see the Chargers rally back to take the lead. However, Delaware Valley notched the late points to get the straight-set win.
Janel Gluch had 11 kills and four service aces for the Aggies while
Destinee Horning added eight kills and 18 digs.
Alyssa Riggins tallied eight kills and nine digs and
Gina Page had seven kills and 21 digs.
Crystal Ronan dished out 33 assists and added 10 digs.
Katie Coomber paced Lancaster Bible with 13 kills and she also added 10 digs. Emily Olson struck nine kills and Hannah Metzler handed out 32 assists.
However, the Aggies could not sweep the day as Washington (4-2) cruised to set scores of 25-20, 25-11 and 25-16. The Shorewomen had 46 kills and just 11 errors in 107 attempts for a .327 hitting percentage in the match.
Kristin Lee led Washington with 12 kills and 15 digs while Caitlin Cooney added 11 kills and Lauren White handed out 38 assists. Horning paced Delaware Valley with seven kills while Gluch, Page and Riggins had six kills apiece. Ronan finished with 26 assists
The middle match saw Washington notch set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-12 over Lancaster Bible. Jess Daunoras paced the Shorewomen with 10 kills, six service aces and five blocks. Olson had six kills for the Chargers.
