GLUCH REACHES MILESTONE, DELVAL VOLLEYBALL SPLITS TRI-MATCH

| Box Score 2 READING (PA) – Delaware Valley College senior Janel Gluch became the first player in school history to surpass 1,000 kills in a career as the Aggies split a tri-match at Alvernia University. They dropped a 3-2 decision to Immaculata University, but bounced back with a 3-0 win over the host.

Gluch, who became Delaware Valley's all-time leader in kills last Saturday, was 12 kills shy of the milestone. She accomplished the feat late in the match against Immaculata as she had 15 kills in the contest.

The Aggies (6-6) dropped the first set, 25-22, but bounced back with a 25-9 score in the second. The teams split the next two sets but the fifth belonged to the Mighty Macs (4-7) for a 15-7 score and the victory.

In addition, fellow seniors Destinee Horning and Alyssa Riggins had 11 kills apiece. Horning added 29 digs and seven blocks while Riggins had 14 digs. Crystal Ronan distributed 46 assists. Julie Rombach had 16 kills and 14 digs for Immaculata.

The nightcap saw Delaware Valley post set scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-20. It had 42 kills as a team, including 11 by Gluch to go along with her four service aces. Horning finished with 10 kills and 13 digs while Riggins added eight kills and 13 digs. Ronan posted 35 assists and 11 digs.
