Box Score ST. DAVIDS (PA) – The Delaware Valley College volleyball team ended its 2013 season with a 3-0, Freedom Conference loss at defending champion and perennial national power Eastern University. Set scores were 25-10, 25-16 and 25-14.
The Aggies finished the campaign with a 13-14 overall record and a 3-4 mark in the conference. They ended tied with Misericordia for fourth place in the league, but lost out on the last tournament berth due to its loss to the Cougars earlier this year. Eastern, will be the number one seed in the upcoming conference tournament as it improved to 26-4 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the league.
The Eagles finished the evening with a .370 hitting percentage while Delaware Valley had a .057 mark. They also added 11 service aces and five blocks in the win. Kearby Benak and Lauren Sproles paced Eastern with nine kills apiece while Rikki Schlager dished out 37 assists.
For Delaware Valley, it was the final match in the careers of seniors

Janel Gluch,
Destinee Horning and
Alyssa Riggins. The four were the winningest class in Aggie volleyball history as they garnered 63 wins, one Freedom tournament berth and two ECAC quarterfinal appearances during their tenure.
Gluch had eight kills on Wednesday evening as she finished with a school-record 1,201. Horning had the team's lone block of the match and that added to her record total which ends at 221 rejections. Riggins had six kills and seven digs against Eastern while DeFrancesco added five digs from her libero position.
