Box Score DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The Delaware Valley College volleyball team won i's fourth straight contest as it swept visiting Manhattanville College in three games for an important Freedom Conference victory. Set scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-23.
With the win, the Aggies pulled back to .500 on the year with a 12-12 record overall and 3-3 mark in conference play while the Valiants fell to 16-14 and 0-6. Crystal Ronan was hot from the service line, delivering eight aces to go along with her 35 assists. Delaware Valley, as a team, had 12 aces as
Destinee Horning had the other two.
The first game saw the Aggies jump out to an early lead that they would not relinquish as they cruised to a 25-18 win. In game two, the Valiants got their first lead of the night when they scored six straight points and went up 10-9. They would lead again at 14-13 before Delaware Valley scored 12 of the last 16 points, en route to another 25-18 victory.
In the final game, the Aggies opened up a 5-0 lead but Manhattanville wouldn't go down easy. The Valiants battled back and led 21-20 and 22-21. Delaware Valley then ripped off four of the last five points and came away with the 25-23 game to clinch the win.
