Janel Gluch combined for 23 kills as Delaware Valley College improved to 5-0 on the season with a 3-0 victory over host Penn State Brandywine. Set scores were 25-9, 25-18, 26-24.
The Aggies cruised in the first set, winning nine of the first 10 points. They finished the set with 12 kills and just one hitting error. Penn State Brandywine (0-3) made things closer in the next two sets, but Delaware Valley still came away with the win.
Page finished with 12 kills and 12 digs while Gluch had 11 kills and two blocks.
Destinee Horning and
Alyssa Riggins notched six kills apiece with Riggins also adding four service aces.
Crystal Ronan finished the victory with 23 assists and three service aces.
Delaware Valley will put its undefeated mark and 13-match home winning streak on the line on Wednesday night, September 12 (7:00 p.m.) when it hosts four-time defending Freedom Conference champion and national powerhouse Eastern University. The Eagles knocked off the Aggies in the Freedom semifinals last year, en route to the conference crown. They then went all the way to the Division III semifinals before falling to the eventual national champion.
