ANNVILLE (PA) – The Delaware Valley College volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-1 decisions to host Lebanon Valley College and Lycoming College as part of the Middle Atlantic Conference Crossover Tournament.
Two teams from the Freedom Conference and two teams from the Commonwealth Conference meet at different locations through the MAC. The two losses by the Aggies dropped their overall record to 10-7.
In the match against Lebanon Valley (11-12), Delaware Valley dropped the first two sets, 25-16 and 25-233, before taking a 25-16 decision in the third set. However, the Flying Dutchmen came back to close the match, 25-23, in the fourth.
Gina Page had 18 kills and 18 digs to pace the Aggies.
Destinee Horning added 14 kills (just one error) and 16 digs while
Janel Gluch had 11 kills.
Crystal Ronan dished out 48 assists. Kelsie Groff led Lebanon Valley with 14 kills.
Delaware Valley fell behind 2-0 against Lycoming (15-14) with set scores of 27-25 and 26-24. The Aggies bounced back with a 25-22 triumph in set number three, before the Warriors took the fourth by a 25-20 score.
Gluch finished with a season-high 22 kills and added five blocks in the loss. Horning had 14 kills, 16 digs and four blocks while Page contributed nine kills and 17 digs. Ronan finished with 48 assists. Jackie Olivia and Shelby Gear had 15 and 12 kills respectively for Lycoming.
