DOYLESTOWN (PA) – DeSales University remained undefeated in Freedom Conference play with a 3-0 road victory over Delaware Valley College. Set scores were 25-20, 25-12 and 25-19.
The Bulldogs improved to 12-15 overall and 6-0 in the Freedom. They will host defending conference champion Eastern University next Wednesday, October 24 with the winner getting home court advantage for the upcoming Freedom tournament. The loss dropped the Aggies to 11-9 overall and 2-4 in the league.
DeSales finished with 41 kills and just nine errors in the match while Delaware Valley had 26 kills and 22 errors. The Bulldogs also finished with a 7-3 edge in blocks.
Julie Blessing, Macy Farrell and Paige Horrigan had nine kills apiece to pace DeSales while Horrigan also added five blocks. Emilie Baker and Amada Wallitsch combined for 42 digs while Brooke Horrigan finished with 37 assists and 16 digs.
Delaware Valley was led by
Gina Page's 10 kills and 18 digs. Destine Horning and
Alyssa Riggins had six kills and 10 digs apiece.
Crystal Ronan tallied 24 assists and 12 digs.
