DOYLESTOWN (PA) – A trio of Arcadia University pitchers allowed just three runs and eight hits over 14 innings as Arcadia University swept a non-conference doubleheader from host Delaware Valley College, 8-3 and 3-0. 
In the opener, Kelsey Roberts started for the Knights (14-6) and did not allow a hit while just one unearned run scored against her in four innings of work. Heather Buriak permitted two runs and five hits over the final three innings. Jessica Wood then starred in the nightcap as she hurled a complete-game, three-hit shutout while fanning 10. 
Delaware Valley (7-11) scored off an Arcadia error in the second inning of the first game for an early 1-0 lead. However, the Knights followed in the third as Brandee Zablotsky smacked a two-run homer. They then added three runs in the fourth, including a two-run single by Zablotsky. 
Arcadia upped the lead to 8-1 by scoring one in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Zablotsky knocked in one of the runs on a ground out as she finished the game 2-for-4 with five RBIs. 
The Aggies picked up their final tallies in the bottom of the sixth as 
Allison Tomasino knocked a run in on a ground out and 
Jess Bensinger followed with an RBI single. 
Erin Fox led the team with a 2-for-2 showing off the bench. 
Keri Hardiman pitched four innings and took the loss. 
In the nightcap, Virginia Buechel led off the top of the second for Arcadia with a home run over the left field fence. Later in the stanza, Corrin Showalter had an RBI single for a 2-0 lead. The Knights added to the lead in the fifth as Buechel knocked in a run with a single. She was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the contest. 
Bensinger, Fox and 
Tori Stachura recorded the lone hits for Delaware Valley. 
Greer McComas took the loss despite allowing just three runs (two earned) and six hits over seven innings.
