IMMACULATA (PA) – Delaware Valley College rallied from a 2-0 deficit and posted a thrilling, 3-2 non-conference victory at Immaculta University. Set scores were 23-25, 8-25, 25-21, 25-13 and 15-13 in favor of the Aggies.
Not only was Delaware Valley (5-1) down 2-0 in sets, it also trailed 15-9 in the third. The Aggies then scored 16 of the next 22 points to keep the match alive and eventually forced a fifth and deciding set. They were down 12-10 in the fifth before rallying once again.
The freshmen trio of Kelsey Fisher, Amy Estep and Kaitlyn Olsen had strong showings on Thursday. Fisher led the way with nine kills while Estep notched eight kills, 18 digs, four assists and four service aces. Olsen had eight kills and four blocks. Jaki Blood added five kills, five service aces and 12 assists in the victory.
The Might Macs (1-3) were paced by Jayme Lenosky's 10 kills.
